The Final Project is worth 150 points and 15% of your final grade. You will be required to research a
photographer and share at least 8-10 images from that artist’s career. A five-page (1500-word
minimum) written paper will accompany this exhibit. The paper will function as an exhibition
catalogue to accompany your exhibit. The Exhibition portion of the project is worth 50 points and the
written paper portion worth 100 points.
 The exhibition portion of the grade will be based on the images chosen, their relevance to the
photographer chosen, and how well they relate as a whole to reflect the photographer’s impact. And
addresses the artist’s work in terms of historical context.
 The Exhibition Catalog / written paper portion will address the photographer, their social and
historical relevance, and why each image was chosen both individually and how they work together
as an exhibit, ways in which each image is or was impactful.
 Additionally, you will be required to view photo exhibitions to see how curators communicate
something to an audience, how they are laid out, and see how wall labels and information is presented
to their audience.
