There is a great need in your community for sports officials. The local recreation department has had to decrease the number of games that recreation teams play in each season, middle school and high school games are being officiated with less than the desired amount of officials, and sometimes games are being canceled altogether due to the shortage of officials in your area.
To combat the shortage of officials and the impact it is having on sports in your community, you decide to fix the problem by starting an officials association. You plan to recruit, hire, and train enough officials to meet the needs of your community and contract with the local recreation departments and schools.
