This is your first final project. Within this final project you have multiple options. You must choose one option and submit your project here. Make sure that you choose artists that are featured in this course.
Final Project Q1: Whose artwork will most influence my own artistic expression?
FP Q1: Option 1
Create an artwork (painting, series of photos, short story, etc.) that is influenced by your new artistic heroes. This work must have proof that it is being made in this class, so please show examples of the work in progress. Take pictures about every 10 to 20 min while working. You must have these pictures of the work in progress. If you are trying to make a painting in the same style of an artist that is your hero you may have to remake it if it is off the mark. Then write a short paper (1-2 pages) explaining how your work is related to that of your artistic heroes.
FP Q1: Option 2
Create a virtual art exhibit entitled: The Artists Who Inspired (your name). This exhibit should include example artworks, biographical/historical data, and commentary (written in third person) about the impact it had on your thinking. May be in the form of a web page, or another digital format that I can view. You may even choose to create a physical art gallery. This assignment must include 10 works and have a theme. Be sure to site your sources.
FP Q1: Option 3
Create a ONE MINUTE commercial or a multi page website that will help future students know what to expect from this class. Also display your understanding of some of the artists that moved you to look differently at art. This should help students become excited about art history though your lens. The commercial could easily be made with video and still shots digitally. Do not try to “Wing” the commercial. It needs to demonstrate your knowledge of Art History.
