For this section, you will provide the link to your rough draft of the digital storytelling project for your peer to review. Remember, this feedback will be vital to ensuring your final project is of high quality. You should view this not as a starting draft but as a close-to-finished draft. You will need to turn in your presentation link and your self-assessment. Self Assessment #2_ Digital Storytelling Draft.docx Download Self Assessment #2_ Digital Storytelling Draft.docx
Remember, your final presentation requirements are:
You will create an original digital data story/presentation that provides information related to a specific aspect of labor trafficking within America. This presentation should be factual, visually stimulating, and useful for practitioners.
For this project:
For this section, you will create a digital storytelling presentation using Canva presentations (saved as a video), PowerPoint (saved as a video), Storymaps, Sway, etc. You can use any free creation tool you want as long as the presentation is accessible, professionally presented, etc. The presentation should focus on one risk factor related to structural issues such as a policy, law, or social-political issue (you may also focus on one specific industry that is at high risk for labor trafficking). It needs to include an overview of the risk factor, statistics related to the risk factor and issues it creates, and potential solutions. Your citations for the presentation may be placed throughout or on an ending slide/reference section. You need at least 4 empirical/scholarly citations. You will also incorporate an evaluation of current policies and/or programs addressing your issue/element and suggestions for future research and policy/program. Be clear about your issue/element, provide a point of view, and ensure that there is a consistent theme. Think about it as a digital research paper, you must include pictures and/or videos. You need to have at least 5 images (icons, graphics, photos), at least 1 sound (for example music for intro/exit), and at least 1 visual graph. It will need to be 5-10 minutes long (depending on how quickly one can watch/scroll through the video. Ensure you cover all aspects.
