This video will provide a short synopsis of the social justice issue being addressed in your Social Justice Paper. The goal of this video is to engage an audience (via social media) on your cause that would not otherwise be aware of the issue. You are speaking to laypeople about the issue, not other social workers. Thus, your language should not be overly professional or use jargon that a person outside of the social work discipline would not be familiar with. Consider images, tone of voice, and sound bites that will both help your video gain viewership and engagement. Your message should be concise, compelling, and energetic. The video should include the following components:
Explicitly articulate your problem
Provide examples of why this is an issue and who is impacted by this issue
Two to three recent statistics to substantiate your claim
A statement of how viewers can help
Call to action (CTA) including specific instructions for how the viewer can support your cause .
