Fashion Merchandising Range Plan – Individual Project
The project requires that you work individually to develop a Fashion Range Plan. I would like each student to pick a fashion or beauty retail company. It can range anything from a large retail chain to a small boutique. It can be a bricks and mortar retailer or an online one. Assume you are the Fashion Merchandiser for that company and you have been asked to develop a Fashion range plan for that company. Use the guidelines below to create your plan.
The items you will be merchandising are for Winter 2023. Also, you have a budget of $100,000 so your total costs for all your items cannot exceed your budget of $100,000.
Total grades for your project is 100 points.

Identify and describe 5 specific items from your fashion Line that you will be working on for this plan
A fashion line refers to a category of clothing or accessories that a designer creates, typically targeting the same customer base. Examples could be creating a line of sustainable wedding dresses, or plus size athleisure wear, or high-end street wear, or jewelry made of natural products such as bamboo, or low priced jewelry all under $5, or lower priced prom dresses targeted at low income customers, or T shirts targeting Lacrosse fans, or clothing for people with disabilities, or Wigs and accessories for people with cancer, or any other type of fashion or beauty line that you choose to pick. There are millions of ideas you can pick from.
Customer Analysis (Very detailed description):Identify and describe in detail, your primary target for your fashion line using categories such as demographics, location, Psychographics, etc.

Total Financials for all 5 Items Combined
In this section, I want you to calculate the Total Margins/Profit that you will make on those 5 items as a result of your plan. I also want you to calculate the margin percentage for all the items combined.
Formula to calculate Total Margins/Profit:
Total Sales – Total Cost = Total Margins/Profit
Total Sales is calculated by combining Total Retail Sales Per Item for all 5 items
Total Cost is calculated by combining Total Cost per Item for all 5 items
Formula to calculate Total Margins%:

(Total Sales – Total Cost)/ (Total Sales*100)
Total Sales is calculated by combining Total Retail Sales Per Item for all 5 items
Total Cost is calculated by combining Total Cost per Item for all 5 items
