Working with children requires knowledge of services available in the community to assist families in need. There is a broad range of services available, but many parents are unaware of how to access these services. For this portion of the Key Assessment, students will create an electronic Community Resource Notebook. The notebook will be designed using Power Point and should follow this format:
Name of Community Agency
Community Served by Agency
Services Available to Participants
Visual Representation of Services (pictures, clip art, logos, etc)
Hyperlinked URL for Agency Home Page
Students must have at least one entry (page) for each of the following:
Food Bank
Low Cost Child Care/Preschool Education (Head Start, State Preschool, etc.)
Health Clinic
Low Cost Counseling Services
Services for Children with Disabilities
Low Cost Clothing/Shoes
Parenting Classes
Domestic Violence Shelters
Child Protective Services
Transportation Services
