Individual Research Report Grading Criteria (100 points):
Quality of the Introduction _____ 30 pts
Contains statements justifying the topic importance, definitions of key terms, a solid theoretical base, and a clear paper preview.
Quality of the Literature Review _____ 50 pts
Contains at least 5 different academic journal articles that are all related to your topic. Use the articles to support your arguments. Do not use a paragraph for each article—integrate the articles into your arguments about the topic. Follow APA when citing.
References in APA style _____ 20 pts
_ Use the author’s last name, first name initial, and middle name initial instead of entire name.
_ List the names of all the authors; do not use “et al.” or “others” unless there are more than six authors.
_ Use lower case for all the words in the title except the first letter of the first word.
_ Capitalize the first letter of the first word after a colon in the title of the article.
_ Journal in italics and first letter of each word (except prepositions) should also be capitalized.
_ Volume number should be in italics (do not include “vol.”).
_ Include the issue number in parenthesis (not in italics).
