This paper should be between 5-7 pages (double-spaced, not including title page or reference page). No new references are expected for your Social Work Response Paper, unless you are proposing an established intervention that has supporting research evidence.
Problem Summary: A one-page summary description of the problem/issue, its significance to social work, and current or past programs or policies (on either the criminal justice or social work side) that have attempted to address this problem/issue (abbreviated from your Social Work Problem Paper).
Proposed Practice/Policy Intervention: A detailed description of your program/policy idea that will begin to address this problem, including:
How will the program or policy work? What are the key characteristics of the program/policy intervention?
Who will be targeted? Who are the specific populations (demographic characteristics) and the geographic area on which you will focus?
Who will carry out the program/policy? Will it be persons/entities in the criminal justice or social work world, both, or neither? 

Why will this intervention work to address the problem? How will your proposed program/policy address the key components of the problem/issue?
How does this program/policy build on current knowledge of the problem and past attempts to solve it? Be sure to include sources to support your claims; these sources can be those you referenced in your Social Work Problem Paper.
How does this program/policy promote social justice and other social work values at the criminal justice and social work interface?
Narrative Logic Model based on the details of your proposed program/policy: Describe each of the following components in sufficient detail so that the intervention can be clearly understood (see Savaya & Waysman reading):
Inputs
Provide a detailed overview of the resources you will need to implement this program/policy as related to clients, staff, material resources, facilities, and equipment.
Include a narrative explanation as to why you chose your inputs as they relate to best practices (this should be related to your literature review from your Social Work Problem Paper; be sure to include sources/in-text citations).
Activities
If you are proposing a program, identify all services to be provided and include a one-sentence service definition for each. Who will be in charge of implementing each service? How will this service be delivered?
If you are proposing a policy, identify all activities needed to develop and advocate for this policy and include a one-sentence definition for each. Who will be in charge of implementing each activity? How will this activity be achieved?
Explain why you chose activities/services and how they logically
lead to outcomes.
Outputs
If you are proposing a program, list and define units of service for each service to be provided.
If you are proposing a policy, list and define what will be produced from each of the activities (e.g. draft legislation, number of policymakers reached, etc.)
Intermediate Outcomes
List and describe the intermediate outcomes for each service or activity being provided.
Long-Term Outcomes
List and describe the long-term outcomes
that will be achieved by the program or policy.
Clarity of Writing and Proper APA Format: The paper should be well organized according to APA formatting with a title page and appropriate use of headings and subheadings, be nearly free of spelling and grammatical errors, contain correctly cited references within the paper and at the end, and meet the minimum page requirements.
