*PLEASE PUT YOUR PRESENTATION”S TITLE AND YOUR NAME ON THE FIRST SLIDE OF THE PRESENTATION – THIS DOES NOT COUNT TOWARD SLIDE COUNT*
Students will present a final (PowerPoint) presentation of around five minutes in length, or about 10 slides. The topic of this presentation will center on the student’s research project for this class.
The presentation will add current perspectives on the history in question, along with recent news articles, to connect historical events and our times. The goal is to answer the question, “how did that turn out?”
For example, if the chosen research topic is the Women’s Suffrage Movement, the presentation might consider the number of women voters today, the number of women in elected office in the United States, and the challenges and barriers today’s women continue to face when it comes to suffrage.
Regardless of the chosen topic, at least three recent news articles must be cited in MLA format in the presentation. A reference list should be affixed to the end of the presentation. With the exceptions of the title page and reference list, each slide should contain an appropriate visual (e.g. a photo or illustration).
Students will deliver this PowerPoint presentation during the last week of regular classes. Please do not embed videos in your slides. Photos are accepted and expected.
PLEASE BRING YOUR PRESENTATION TO CLASS ON A USB STICK ON THE DAY YOU NORMALLY ATTEND CLASS IN WEEK 15.
PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR PRESENTATION IN THE SPACE BELOW BY 11:59 PM ON NOVEMBER 28, 2021.
