topic for your paper. You should also be able to identify both academic and news reporting of
this issue. Please email me if you are unsure as to whether your topic
would be suitable for this assignment. It is best to check prior to
developing the rest of your proposal.
Your
final draft
of the essay must include 4-7 academic sources, and a minimum of 3 general news sources. No general information websites are
allowed, although authoritative and respected organizations with websites
may. If unsure, please check with instructor.
The
final draft
of your essay must be approximately 1200-1500 words in length (excluding the
Works Cited), double-spaced,
in 12 pt. font,
Times New Roman,
with personal and class
information at the top
The
essay should have page
numbers (top-right corner) and a title that indicates what the essay is actually

are free to develop your own topic, or to choose one of my suggested
