Most of them brave the long and arduous trek to reach South Korea via China and South East Asian countries. What has compelled them to leave family and relatives behind and what aspects of South Korea appeal to them most and how do they obtain such information? are most appealing to them and how do they obtain such information? What perils and dangers do the North Korean refugees, especially women encounter on the way to South Korea? What types of challenges do the NK refugees face once they enter South Korea?
