I structured the strategy map for Ajo Medical Center based on four key perspectives from the Balanced Scorecard approach:

   • Goal: Improve operational efficiency and clinical effectiveness
   • Strategies: Invest in technology (EHR systems), streamline workflows, and enhance employee training

4. Learning & Growth Perspective:

   • Goal: Foster innovation and staff development
   • Strategies: Offer continuous medical education, support employee well-being, and implement leadership development programs

Rationale for My Strategy Map Arrangement:

I prioritized the patient/customer perspective because patient care is the foundation of healthcare organizations. However, to achieve high-quality care, the internal processes and workforce need to be efficient, well-trained, and adaptable. Financial sustainability supports all these efforts, ensuring the medical center can maintain and expand its services.

Reflection on the Strategy Map Process:

I found the strategy map extremely helpful in visualizing how different aspects of healthcare management interconnect. It clarified how short-term goals contribute to long-term success and highlighted the importance of aligning operational improvements with financial and patient care objectives.
