b – Clearly explain the most impacting factor(s) that have influenced or continue to influence these changes (suburbanization) on the American landscape.
2. Reformers of the 1800s championed the need for expanding cities beyond their peripheries as the panacea to urban problems of filth, overcrowding, crime and disease. Similar policies were promoted post- World War II.
On the other hand, modern reformers have constantly contested the idea of sprawl, claiming it is inefficient, and impacts livability of the people.
