Based on the information disseminated this semester and the information collected below, you will create a student guide as a design product of your own. This student guide will assist learners with the implementation of growth mindsets, transformative learning practices, self-directed learning, action learning, and design thinking applications that include the integration of self-awareness, self-monitoring, and self-regulatory practices in the college setting. As in design product implementations, this product will address a challenge that college students may have to overcome. To start the process, respond to the following questions.
1) What would you like to do? Indicate the focus of your student guide, a purpose statement for this student guide, and the desired impact of this product.
2) Is it possible to identify multiple solutions for the challenge that this product addresses? What do you need to know in order to understand individual needs of students?
3) What information is needed in order to complete this project?
4) Read three research articles on solutions found by research teams on product ideas related any three of these content areas : growth mindsets, transformative learning practices, self-directed learning, action learning, and design thinking applications that include the integration of self-awareness, self-monitoring, and self-regulatory practices. Then, respond to the following questions. What was designed? What actions did they take to create the stated product? What were the results and stated impacts of the product?
5)Now, you will identify the audience that will benefit from your product and the product elements important to this audience in the product you will create.
**You will identify 5 individuals that will be considered part of the audience. Ask these individuals questions related to wants and needs of the identified product.
6) What themes resulted from the interviews?
7) Now, organize your ideas in the form of an outline/map to guide your implementation plan ideas.
8) State how are you going to implement your plan.
9) Identify the resources needed for this project.
10) Create a visual (ie. storyboard of elements of product or service) to think through your implementation plan.
11) Create the identified product.
This design product will be presented within the contents of a Poster Presentation. 1) The Poster Presentation will need to be formed in an online program such as Canva with at least 4 posters discussing all content gleaned from questions 1-10. 2) The student guide (with a minimum of 6 posters) will help students learn about the following topics: growth mindsets, transformative learning practices, self-directed learning, action learning, and design thinking applications that include the integration of self-awareness, self-monitoring, and self-regulatory practices in order to help students address the identified challenge faced by college students. You will share your presentation with the class during our assigned final exam time on May 2nd which will begin at 10:45am and last for two and a half hours. You will have 6 minutes during this time period to share your work.
** The works cited should be located at the end of the Poster Presentation. Use the MLA format for references.
** Project font needs to be 12 pt.
Note: The class presentation will count one third of your final product grade.
Your Poster Presentation will need to be uploaded to the Assignments section of Assessments by the final presentati
