Explain why biodiversity, climate change and agroecology are all issues of environmental justice. Please limit your discussion of environmental justice to these 3 dimensions: procedual, distributive and/or recognitional. Be sure to demonstrate understanding of at least two of these dimensions in your answer. (3 para, one per issue)
Procedural: how decisions are made and who makes them.
Distribution: how the harms and benefits are allocated among individuals and groups.
Recognitional: The respect from difference and avoidance of domination. Recognition is intended to provide individuals affected a voice in political discourse, regardless of race, gender, or social advantage.
Explain US Endangered Species Act and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species Act (CITIES) addressing the loss of biodiversity. What are the policies, how do they operate to address the issue? (2 para, one per policy)
Do the international and domestic policies address the environmental justice of biodiversity loss? If so, which of the 3 dimensions identified above are addressed? If not, should they? Why or why not? (2 para, one per policy)
