This assignment digs into the strategic value of Hulu/HuluLive to Disney Corp, and how it fits, or doesn’t fit, into what you think DIS’s long term value as a Digital Empire Building block.
Should they keep it or sell it off? How does it fit with the pieces, such as theme parks, Star Wars, Pixar, Marvel, Disney, plushy toys, ESPN, ESPN +, etc.?
However, this assignment isn’t that simple. You have to do some research. Dig in on understanding all the Digital Empire Building blocks (see deck for the meaning of concept) of Disney. Build an Empire chart if you want. Evaluate. Dig. Think. Analyze. You have access to research such as newspaper databases, Variety, the WSJ, NY Times, etc. Utilize them!
