This activity is for you to read a book, an autobiography, or a biography of a leader. There is not a book list from which to choose a leader, and you do not have to read a book about a leader affiliated with the military. Instead, choose an autobiography or biography of any leader that interests you. Once you finish reading the leader book, please answer the questions on the analysis/synthesis worksheet.
Questions: What leader did you select and why did you select that person to read about?

Army professionals earn and sustain trust by demonstrating character, competence, and commitment. How would you describe the individual you read about in regards to these three components?
How might this individual have been seen as one who “served honorably”?
What influential behaviors did this individual demonstrate that others would perceive as authentic and sincere?
What leadership lessons did you learn from reading this book?
