1. Review the PowePoint Presentation.
2. Follow directions located in the PowerPoint presentation on how to sign-up for an account and gain access to our community should you not already have access.
3. Review the PowerPoint with regard to how questions and responses are scored.
4. Each Packback assignment will be based on the instructor topic given within the weekly module in the ‘Assignments’ tab on Blackboard.
5. Based on the given topic (provided by the instructor) for the week, each student will do the following: Post a question on Packback (within our course community) that the student would like further information about; Answer the questions posed by two classmates. The question posed and the answers to those questions asked by others should be thought provoking and involve critical thought. Curiosity points are rewarded based on detailed posts, effort and even citations.
6. Understand that posts may be ‘flagged’ and/or ‘moderated’.
7. Have fun with the weekly assignment. The approach is a way to provide an additional assessment tool to each student and maintain objectivity while maintaining a safe space in which conversations may evolve.
Curiosity points dictate your grade per assignment and then the three parts of the assignment (question, response to a classmate #1, response to a classmate #2) produce an average score.
