After analyzing the article and this week’s lesson on different models of leadership in Chapter 11, you will write a memo from your perspective as a Director for your hospital to your Chief Medical Officer on the importance of creating a training program for possible physician leaders. You should ensure your memo addresses the following questions:
Why should physicians receive leadership training and be used in leadership roles in healthcare organizations? Explain.
Explain how the dyad model of healthcare leadership functions.
Is there more value in physicians being placed under mentorship of an existing physician leaders in administrative positions like a CMO? Explain why.
