You have just been given the assignment of starting a police department for Metropolis, an urban city of 300,000 citizens. Metropolis is a very diverse city that is divided into many different neighborhoods with varied socioeconomic demographics. The city includes a popular waterfront tourist industry. Although the crime rate is relatively low, the citizens are very concerned about police services, particularly the growing drug use among young people in the neighborhoods and a potential “outsider” police force that does not understand the needs of their community.
In a paper of no more than 6 pages, describe the structure and operation of your police organization. The text of the paper should be typed, doubled spaced, with 1-inch margins and page numbers. In addition to the text, the paper should include a title page and bibliography for a total of 8 pages. The paper shall not include any graphs, lists, pictures or artwork of any kind.
