This memorandum is to be written to frame an issue of national importance, in the format of an Intelligence or Policy Alert (e.g., an emerging narrative, information operation, information deception).
1200-words (maximum), single-spaced papers in memorandum format in Times 12-point font, with one-inch margins, justified, with a line space between paragraphs, addressed to the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, National Security Council. You must use footnotes (not endnotes) wherever appropriate. This memorandum is to be written to frame an issue of national importance, in the format of an Intelligence or Policy Alert, that you feel needs the attention of the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, National Security Council (e.g., an emerging narrative, information operation, information deception). This memorandum must be short, so it is readable and to the point. You must copy the format attached for the two-page memorandum. The purpose of the memorandum is to practice the art of intelligence analysis by highlighting a major international issue and by providing relevant finished intelligence and analysis.
