This is a critical essay of the course of “Science & Values”, is more of a philosophy concept. Please first, read the PDF provided thoroughly, and read Professor’s instruction: Critical analysis essay: You are familiar with Richard Rudner’s 1953 paper entitled “The Scientist Qua Scientist Makes Value Judgments”. In your essay, please critically assess the 1993 paper by Aaron S. Greenberg and J. Michael Bailey entitled “Do Biological Explanations of Homosexuality Have Moral, Legal, or Policy Implications?” In your assessment, you must do the following:
1. Offer a structure for the text of Greenberg and Bailey (up to 3 points out of 16 points)
2. State clearly and in your own words the main claim of Greenberg and Bailey (up to 4 points out of 16 points)
3. Outline at least two of the arguments that Greenberg and Bailey offer to support their main claim (up to 6 points out of 16 points)
4. Explain the relevance of Rudner’s paper for a critical assessment of the claims and arguments of Greenberg and Bailey (up to 3 points out of 16 points)
5. Be brief and to the point. Write in full sentences. Do not exceed 750 words. Proof-read your essay before submission. Submit as PDF. Give your essay a one-sentence long introduction and a one-sentence long conclusion (1 points deduction if you don’t).
6. Do not cite text of Greenberg and Bailey; use only your words (1 points deduction if you don’t); of course, you may use terminology used by Greenberg and Bailey.
