This exercise is designed to help you gather information about various careers that sound interesting to you. Choose a minimum of three careers to research, and follow these instructions:
You must use the Occupational Outlook Handbook as a source for 2 careers you research. However, the handbook should not be the only resource you use for your career. Some other helpful resources are presented below.
You must document where you found the career information you cite. No official formatting (APA, MLA) is required, but you must at least provide me with a hyperlink or some other way to identify the source.
Answer the following questions for your careers:
Describe the responsibilities and projects included in this position? What daily activities and programs are involved?
What salary range can you expect from this career option? Does geographic area or type of employer affect the salary ranges?
What specific skills and specialized knowledge will be required?
What types of education or training are required for this career?
What, in your opinion, are some negative aspects of this career?
NOTE: You don’t have to format this paper in any particular way (APA, MLA), and if you prefer to present the information in a question and answer format I’m okay with that, or you can choose a more traditional paragraph format.
