MEMORANDUM
DATE: Friday 13 October 2023
TO: New Employee
FROM: Jordan Dean, CEO of StartRups
SUBJECT: Influence of Law on Businesses
Welcome to the team! This is an exciting time to be with us and with your recent knowledge as a business undergraduate, I feel that you will have valuable insight of the business today. As you know, StartRups is a new business concept, and we are very much in the early stages of running this business and I noted on your transcript that you did a module in Introduction to Business Contracts and the law.  We are not large enough to have a legal team and would be interested to know of how business law influences business management. Please in a short note explain how law, in particular Intellectual Property, Business Structures, Contract Law, Employment Law, Tort Law, and the English Legal System, influences businesses in making decisions, managing risk and maintaining ethical practices.
Regards
Jordan
