REFLECT: I concur with “Action plans should reflect the type of services that are needed and have an idea of the expected outcome of the services” because it is in line with Hatch and Hartline’s intentional school counseling guidelines in regards to determining students needs.
INQUIRE: Can you further explain what “closing-the-gap action plans” are? 
SUGGEST: I encourage you to revisit Hatch and Hartline’s MTMDSS tier interventions in order to add a citation that would illustrate your example on bullying prevention efforts. 
ELEVATE: What if you re-purposed “For example, after a needs assessment, the school is having problems with bullying” as “Following Trish Hatch’s MTMDSS tier based interventions, if the school is having problems with bullying, after a needs assessment, we could… citation…”  for a more weighted argument?

Response 1-Julietta
Describe your experiences with prevention and/or intervention strategies. (i.e.,
motivation, student efficacy, time management, study skills, constructive problem
solving, and teacher-student rapport)
This week I worked with my counseling supervisor regarding an issue between a student and their teacher. The student reported that they were in a disagreement regarding a graded project. The student felt that their hard work, research and determination put into the project deserved more than a B grade. When speaking to the student, they discussed the amount of work and time they put into their project (medieval castle build followed by a small report of where/time line their castle was in). We discussed how to best approach the teacher and their grading policy. Together we looked over the grading rubric, timeline and date of what was due. The student noticed that they submitted portions of their project late which impacted their grade. The student admitted that they forgot about that portion of the project and took responsibility for it. Throughout our meeings (a total of 3), the student recognized that in order to improve their time management skills for any upcoming projects they were going to use their planner as well as their phone to remind them of due dates and so on. I would say a majority of conversations over the last month have been about improving study skills, time management and problem-solving to help students realize that they are needing to self-reflect more rather than blame others right away.

Response 2- Areva
Describe areas of development through practice; how have you demonstrated strength in these areas? 
On Wednesdays we have PLC time. So as school counselors we meet at the district and learn about how to really use data, how to incorporate ASCA into our program. We have workshops on how to implement data when needed such as if drugs, grades, anxiety, etc  are a huge issue within the school. We make sure not to only look up the data but find ways to execute it to help our students to succeed. I also love there’s so many development workshops available to us by the district that we’re able to attend for free to enhance our skills whether that be for 504’s, safety, IEP, social and emotional, and so much more .
