1) Find a greenmarket (farmstands or fresh food box) near you. Share with the class the borough and greenmarket address where you would/could shop.
If you ever shopped at a greenmarket, farmers market or participated in a CSA and state the main one or two reasons you shop locally; explain your experience.
If you never shopped at a greenmarket, what would be the one or two main reasons you would shop locally; explain your response.
2) Discover how to use SNAP and other nutrition benefits to purchase food at market. Discuss the benefits of SNAP and FMNP. Why are Greenmarkets and the ability to use SNAP and FMNP good for city neighborhoods? Explain your response. Include in your response if you have ever shopped at a greenmarket. If so, describe your experience. Discuss/share/explain. Use terms you learned this semester.
