Gathering Strategies
Review your notes on data sources and data gathering strategies, including the posted power
point slides (Data Alternative Data Gathering Strategies) and readings in the textbook
(especially Chs. 3,4, and 5). Data sources are not the sources for your literature review, but
instead are how you would gather information to answer your research questions and
hypotheses for your mini proposal.
1. Identify your data sources/ data gathering strategies for your research project. Explain where your
data are coming from and why.
2. Identify your dependent variable and at least 3 independent variables that are important to your
study (review ch.1 pages 18-20 and table 1.1).
