For this assignment, students will submit a photo that conveys their racial/ethnic background. Please note the
purpose of this assignment is for students to explore their own racial/ethnic background and identity. This is due
on Blackboard.
Along with the photo students will submit a brief descriiption (maximum 250 words in total) that explains and
illustrates the image and how it is connected to the racial and/or ethnic group by using a concept, theme, theory,
or definition from the course material. Here, students should include their name, date, a unique title, and explicitly
state which population the photo represents (e.g., African Americans, Puerto Ricans, Chinese Americans, etc.).
