Assignment Instructions For this assignment, you will continue your role as an Organizational Change Consultant for your organization. Refer to Assignment 3.5 to help complete some of the details needed for this assignment. For this task, you will create a change intervention report applying systems thinking. After reading and watching the assigned resources, write a 3-to-4 page paper (not including the title page and reference page). Use 3rd person perspective (avoid I, my, we, you, us, etc.). Ensure the following points are addressed: Part I – Description of the change (2 to 2 1/2 pages). Introduction Provide a purpose statement Provide what will be included in this report (see below) The Organization Give a background of the selected organization: Brief history. Location. Number of employees. What does the company produce or what service is provided? Why Change is Necessary Elaborate on why change is necessary to increase performance: What external and/or internal factors drive the need for change? How does the current condition create a lack of performance? Support your reasoning with facts, examples, or other evidence. The Proposed Change Using specifics, identify what exactly needs to be changed in the organization to increase performance. Would the proposed change be a smooth transition? If not, to what extent would the change be disruptive? Based on your observation, experience, and perspective is the organization ready for the change (i.e. See Hodges Chapter 5). Are the beliefs, attitudes, and intentions of members prepared to initiate change? If so, why? If not, do you anticipate resistance? What do you suggest to ensure change is successfully implemented? Support your statement with facts, examples, or other evidence. Part II – Conclusion (½ to 1 page). Restate the purpose statement. Briefly restate why change was necessary. Restate the proposed change. Identify leverage points discovered while creating a stocks and flows diagram. Part III – Diagramming the Change Intervention (1 page). On the final page, you will diagram the change intervention using the stock/flow diagram template as your guide. Make a copy of the template for your report and save it on your Google Drive. Follow the directions indicated on the template. Once the diagram is complete, insert the document on the last page of the Organizational Change Intervention Report (before the reference page). Part IV- Reference page (1 page). Use the assignment rubric to guide your efforts and apply the current APA formatting style.
