My case study will involve an individual with Down Syndrome (disability from the list below the table), who is 10 years old, and middle-class socioeconomic status (statistic/demographic). The individual’s disability will be primarily related to developmental delays (descriptive-you will expand on this in your case, for the topic just a few words are fine). I will discuss the case in the context of applications in the context of home and school (applications/sites of impact), providing solutions that may include special programs and supports (solutions), and will be writing from the viewpoint of a therapist/counselor (viewpoint).   This topic is important to me because I have a close relative with Down Syndrome. I am interested in knowing what opportunities are available for school-aged children and how we can help people achieve their full potential. I think I will be able to find good information on the topic from professional organizations that serve this population. I also think there may be good information available from special education organizations and journals.
