1. See drug fact sheets below. Compare the side effects of marijuana with the other substances. Is marijuana, which is also a mood and mind altering drug, completely harmless or do you see some similarities with respect to side effects? Now that you have studied the information I have provided from DEA and NIDA, what are your thoughts on abusing drugs and the consequences now? Now that you have more information, does this change your perspective?
2. What are some of the important facts that you have learned about addiction? Are there some social and cultural constructs in the U.S. that support addiction? Do you find it interesting, concerning and predictable that we have so many adddictions in the U.S….drugs, alcohol, food, shopping, gambling, etc. What theory/theoretical analysis might explain this social issue?
