Submit a 1- to 2-page paper in which you: -Briefly restate the passion(s) you identified in the Week 1 Discussion. – Identify a social issue in your community that is associated with your passion, for which advocacy would be appropriate. – Describe how you will apply the principles of advocacy to the social issue. Specifically, identify 2–3 principles. Why are these important, and how will you incorporate them into your advocacy project? Week1 Topic : While in college, I was fortunate to see the advocacy by witnessing different student-led campaigns. They were driven toward low-cost education as well as climate change. These advocates demonstrated extreme passion and dedication. They took their time to have proper communication strategies, interacting with university leaders, and working along with other groups who were also concerned about violence. However, their hard work was not in vain; they managed to introduce new funding for scholarships and develop more friendly campus practices. Such experiences reinforced the idea that advocacy could bring genuine change in a specific community. References: -Tahan, H. M. (2016).
