Use data from a case study scenario from the earlier module (Desi Module 3)
Assignment
Present evidence that Desi is gifted and/or needs differentiated learning experiences beyond grade-level peers.
Provide student strengths, weaknesses, academic and affective needs, interests, and any underlying issues related to culture, race, gender, environment, etc.
Using the program options, choose 3 resource models and describe how they could be used to provide an equitable and appropriate educational plan for Desi.
Describe how each resource model is tailored to Desi’s interests and strengths. For example, multi-age grouping is a resource model that could be used to group students with similar interests and/or aptitudes. If Desi’s interests were sports and he excelled in math, enrichment programs (afterschool or in-school clubs) could track their favorite NBA player’s statistics throughout the year.
