(1) Development psychology which shows show there are key developmental differences between the adolescent brain and the adult brain
(2) Clear evidence in the Jamie Bulger case (and many others) that children are capable of commiting the most serious crimes.
How can psychologists work with the criminal justice system to understand the immense complexity associated with assessing culpability and competency with adolescent and child offenders?
