Turn in a written statement (250-300 words in Word, not a PDF), naming the work on which you will focus, articulating your principal research questions, identifying where you’ll seek evidence, and giving an overview of the scholarship you will investigate. o Also turn in a preliminary bibliography with about 7 to 10 ONLY SCHOALRLY ARTICLE sources, subdivided by category (for instance: art historical studies of your object; scholarship outside the field of art history that you will bring to bear on your object; pertinent primary sources or theoretical discussions). § o Your bibliography must follow Chicago Manual of Style format, as available here.
