THIS IS FOR APPLIED BEHAVIOURAL ANALYSIS
1) Choose an intervention from the Effective or Emerging Effectiveness category of the
National Standards Report (Phase 1 or Phase 2 or Parent Guide). Find an article that
researches/applies this intervention in a peer-reviewed journal accessed through the NSCC
Library Database.
2) Summarize the method and results of the article.
3) Evaluate the research article for the following dimensions of ABA (see rubric for detailed
breakdown):
o Applied
o Behavioural
o Analytic
o Technological
o Effective
o Conceptually Systematic
o Generality
The article must come from a peer-reviewed, published journal. The assignment should be
between 2-3 pages, using 12 pt. font and double spacing and using 1-inch margins on all sides.
You can discuss the dimensions of ABA in any order that makes sense for your summary but do
not assume I know which dimension you are describing – specifically state it. Alternatively, you
can create a heading for each dimension/section and write your summary below (whatever
helps you organize your summary and evaluate all 7 dimensions). This should be written in the
format of a paper – not question and answer
