Theme/Thesis: You are to choose one issue/concept/idea from the few I have selected, develop a thesis statement regarding that theme, argue for your thesis using evidence from resources I provide as well as supplementary materials found in the library or in journals. You may choose to affirm and provide evidence for doctrines/ideas found in our readings, but you may also choose to argue against philosophers and their ideas.
e.g. I will argue in favor of Descartes’ descriiption of the scientific method…
I will argue against Kuhn’s analysis of incommensurability of paradigms…
Sample topics to consider are: from religion to science, scientific method, paradigms,
benefits of science, dangers of science,
N.B. Your thesis statement should appear at the end of your introductory paragraph.
Citations: At least 3 citations. You may use books from my selection (they may count as 1 source-even if you use more than one), but you need at least 2 other sources to help corroborate your claims. References can not be websites. You can find references online but it needs to be from a book. Please use the APA style format for parenthetical citations and a full works cited page to document your paper. Websites are not acceptable citations
