Read the following story and answer the prompts
Tasha is a single parent raising Michael with no financial help from his dad. She gave birth to Michael when she was 17. Michael’s parents tried to live together, but it just did not work out. The father moved out of the apart- ment and to another state several months ago. Michael is three years old. He is full of energy and constantly wants his mother’s attention. Tasha is glad he is in daycare, because he wears her out. Tasha does not have a very good support system. She is estranged from her parents and has no siblings. She dropped out of school in her senior year and got a job after she had Michael. She relies on public housing and financial assistance to make ends meet. When Tasha plays with Michael she often feels self-conscious and immature. She feels Michael is at an age where he should be able to entertain himself, and she does not understand his need for constant attention and interaction with her when they are home together. When Tasha does play with Michael, she often teases him to the point that he cries. Tasha likes to pretend his elephant puppet is going to get Michael and often pushes this type of play. At daycare, Michael often complains of a stomachache at the end of the day when the children are starting to be picked up to go home.
