1. After reading, “10 Reasons Social Justice Is Important”, I think many of us can agree that all of the reasons included are important. However, which two reasons do feel are the most important from your perspective? Within at least a 6 sentence paragraph, list the two reasons you feel are the most important today, then provide a detailed explanation on why you feel each reason is the most important, and include real-world and current examples to support each explanation. (10 points)
2. The video, “Equity and Equality” and the article, “Equity vs. Equality: What’s the Difference?”, provide analogies and examples to help us understand what equity means in comparison to equality. For this response, in at least 4 sentences, provide your own example based on what equity is or isn’t from real-world scenarios you have observed within our society. Make sure you state if your example is showing what equity is or is not, and make sure it is explained clearly and correctly. You may also provide an image/illustration with your explanation, but you don’t have to. (5 points)
3. Based on what you learned about intersectionality, respond to the following in at least 6 sentences:
In your own words, clearly and correctly explain what intersectionality means.
Describe a specific social problem related to race or ethnicity that may be better understood by using an intersectional lens.
Explain why it would be better understood by using an intersectional lens.
