This video is related to gestalt in different parameters, like Zach King showing different illusions. For instance:

The Gestalt principle mentioned in this video is the optical illusion of closure. It alludes to our propensity to mentally repair imperfect or disjointed images in order to make them more coherent as a whole. The tendency of the brain to fill in the blanks and make meaning of confusing visual information is a common foundation for optical illusions.
Gestalt psychology and optical illusions both emphasize the idea that different elements of a visual scene are processed concurrently throughout our visual experience. 2. learning is the key to psycholog:One of the key components of learning is Operant Conditioning, which involves gaining experience through trial and mistake. In my own life, I experienced this concept while teaching myself to play the piano. I had no prior knowledge of music and began by attempting simple pieces. Any time that I succeeded in playing a sound or tune, it yielded a beneficial response, generally in the form of pride and pleasure. This advantageous result convinced me to keep on rehearsing and studying. Nevertheless, producing an off-key note led to an unpleasant outcome, like an unpleasant sound(Concina, 2019). This worked as discipline, pushing me to rectify my errors. With time, I enhanced my pianoforte accomplishments through this occurrence of beneficial reinforcement for suitable notes and penalty for improper ones. Operant Conditioning highlights how we study and alter our behaviourdepending on the effects of our activities, drafting our abilities and traditions over time.
3. Intelligence is a social construct:The occurrence of average IQ test scores steadily rising over the years Thus, these techniques have been adapted in numerous nations. This phenomenon is called the Flynn effect(Wikipedia Contributors, 2019). Although the precise causes of the Flynn Effect are still up for discussion, it is thought to be affected by a number of elements, including healthier eating habits, the availability of learning, changes in society, and surroundings that are generally more enriched. AI computational models of language are not directly influencing human intellectual capacity in the same way as humans. While the Flynn Effect mainly deals with gains over time in human psychological capabilities. Also in chapter 7.4 mentions how intelligence can be passed from others information. Its importance is determined by various IQ tests. But it is right that AI is taking the place of Flynn effect with time to time.
There are persuasive arguments in our society about the ongoing discussion of whether or not AI benefits humans. The viewpoints of individuals and the specific setting in which AI is being discussed on different platforms. But personally, I am in favor of the benefits of AIbecause it may computerize routine operations, improving productivity and freeing up human attention for more imaginative and difficult jobs. However, AI-powered solutions can help with early identification of illnesses, evaluation, and medication, which may help save lives and cut costs. I also acknowledge that AI is used to track and oversee critical facilities, resulting in improved security and reliability for water, electricity, and other facilities (Ted talks, n.d.).
While most people claim that AI automation of tasks could result in reduced employment in some sectors, thereby widening the revenue gap. They claim that artificial intelligence has the capacity to collect and evaluate enormous volumes of personally identifiable information, which raises questions about confidentiality as well as the possibility of misuse or monitoring. The third claim that they made is that AI programs have the potential to magnify and reinforce prejudices found in the data used for training, producing disproportionate or biased results(Chan, 2019).
But from my perspective, everything is up to us. Technology can be positively utilized, and everything will be acceptable. However, if we misuse it, it can have detrimental effects on many facets of life. In other words, whether AI is better or worse for humans will depend on its ability to overcome its obstacles and risks.
4. Cognitive is a neuroscience: The connection between how the brain works, how we learn, and the concepts from the thinking and intelligence chapter.
The connection between the brain’s performance, the process of learning and thinking, and intelligence is a complex interplay that diminishes our cognitive strengths. The brain has a lot of neurons that communicate through electrical stimuli. The brain’s neurons are so important that they form all cognitive functions of the body.
Learning is a process of acquiring information. Learning helps us to acquire information. The activity of learning isbringing new information in to the brain. An individual’s ability to learn something like riding a bicycle or reading a book helps the brain to make new connections between its components referred to as neurons.
When thinking the brain uses the information it has storedpreviously. In addition to this, brain has an imperative job to bring back information, and the information becomes thoughts, ideas, and decisions.
Intelligence is when the brain has the capability to solve problems easily and come up with ideas hastily. Therefore,intelligence is the speed and appropriateness we execute when figuring things out.
Therefore, these four properties connect in a way when we learn; it shapes the structure of the brain. The brain’s ability to connect ideas and put knowledge to work is a core ability that links thinking and intelligence. Learning involves the brain forming new connections, allowing human beings to absorb and retain information. Thinking utilizes the neural pathways to process data and solves problems (Lazzara, 2020). Intelligence is the ability to learn, adapt to the environment, and use our knowledge effectively. A brain that has a high cognition enhances thinking ability and leads to higher intelligence. Imperatively, the brain’s capacity to get, process and put knowledge in place by learning and thinking establishes human intelligence.
5.memory:Describe a memory to the class of something that really happened (be way of personal disclosures! let’s keep it non-triggering) .
Most of my childhood memories are based on my life in the slums since that is where I found myself. Living in the slums was not for the faint-hearted. I recall a particular day my mom had sent me for an errand. Initially, I was reluctant to go, but I had to. On my way, I found my friend and convinced him to escort me. As we crossed the road, I was slightly in front of him. Yes, we had seen the car coming, but we thought we could outwit its speed by ours. My friend was unlucky since the car hit him. It was a whole lot chaotic, everyone wanting to view the scene. It was even in the local media.
Describe a memory of a Dream to the class that you can remember (above rules still apply!)
Dreaming, I can say, is part of me. I recall a specific dream, which, up to now, is still vivid in my mind. So, I found myself in this dream calling out while following my mother. I knew something was not right in the direction she was heading to. I guess she was not hearing my calls. I started crying while shouting desperately, just in case she could listen. All my efforts bore no results. Within a fraction of a minute, I heard a loud crash, and suddenly, people were surrounding the scene. With alotof effort, I managed to get through the crowd. To my dismay and disbelief, my mum was lying lifeless and blood all over the scene. I cried out loud in the dream, so I shouted in the real world, thus waking up.
1.Face.
In these two recalls, I can vividly remember the faces of people. I remember the faces of the different passengers who were on the road. I can visualize their sad, shocked faces looking at the injured bodies. I could see some crying, and others were talking ill about the drivers. Some tried to comfort me in both scenarios. The emotional connection humans have towards each other and seeing their reactions as part of those experiences is the central part of why I remember their faces. Our faces speak a lot; therefore, preserving those facial details helps us keep those memories alive. Those facial expressions keep our memories memorable for a long time and personalize the experience.
Finally, can you explain based on the Media Extras and the chapters why that memory stuck?
My memories stuck because they had some emotional significance. Emotional recall tends to be remembered. Whether strong or weak, positive or negative, they can trigger adrenaline, enhancing memory. Also, the association. We can see in my childhood memory it was my friend and, in my dream, my mum. This kind of connection helps in the integration of the existing memories network.
