Create a Project called TipCalculator – Android following Requirements
Requirements: The main activity layout should contain one EditText, three buttons, and one TextView (see page 39, Figure 3.10)
The first button should be labeled 15% and should take the amount entered in the EditText and calculate 15% of that value
The second button should be labeled 18% and should take the amount entered in the Edittext and calculate 18% of that value
The third button should be labeled 20% and should take the amount entered in the EditText and and calculate 20% of that value
Each button when pressed, should display the Tip amount and the Total amount in the TextView in the format: (Tip: $XX.XX Total: $XX.XX); where “XX” represents dollars and cents.
All widgets (EditText, Buttons, and TextView) should be centered horizontally, on the screen with the EditText on top; a single row of buttons below the EditText, and the TextView below the buttons
Deliverables for this Project:
Copy of your code for your final/completed project (10 pts) – please submit this as either a Word doc or screenshot
One screenshot that shows your initial design; your main screen – should look like the original screenshot model in our textbook – page 39, Figure 3.10 (30 pts.)
At least one additional (different) screenshot that shows a transaction view; that is, a bill amount entered and results after tip is applied – NOTE: I am looking to see a calculated total for each tip percentage applied. This can be accomplished either by having three separate “transaction” screens – one for 15%, another for 18% and another for 20%. OR you could add three fields at the bottom of this “transaction” screen, each field showing the calculated results of applying: 15%, 18%, and 20% tip. I want to verify that your app works correctly for all Bill amounts and applied tip per cents (30 pts.).
