Directions:
In our first part of the discussion this week, we are going to apply a case study and use steps 1 and 2 of the decision making model to apply this. Please read the following case study and then apply the model by answering the questions below:
Case Study:
You are a working as in a protective services capacity. One of your clients, a 14 year old transitioning youth, has been kicked out of their house and has presented with an eating disorder. You need to secure a group home placement or foster care home. If your client attends the group home, they will not be able to stay in a room specific to their identified gender, but will receive excellent treatment to address their eating disorder. The foster home has an appropriate bed for their gender, but the client will not be able to receive intensive treatment.
