The quality of strategic planning and decision-making in emergent issues of home

The quality of strategic planning and decision-making in emergent issues of homeland security is related to the quality of resources to support decisions. In this activity, as a group, you will do teamwork, discuss and identify credible resources about the emergent homeland security topics, and prepare a list to share on social media. This research will contribute to your understanding of the strategic framework in homeland security. It will provide a more scientific approach to be a part of the solution by working as a team, staying alert on the issues, developing your network, and following credible sources/people to have valid and reliable information.
The following are the assignment requirements for each step:
– Choose one emergent homeland security issue per group member (counterterrorism).
– Search for credible sources/people (experts) on your assigned issue. Find the five (5) best studies/articles/books from credible sources and list them based on the priority/importance of each source. These tools include the best scholarship. Especially, look for peer-reviewed (mostly cited) articles and their authors.
– Complete your search and share your thoughts about your emergent topic. What are the top resources/special libraries/podcats/channels/organizations on your emergent HS topic? Who should be followed on LinkedIn/Twitter to stay alert on this topic? Share your listing with your group via the group discussion in your team area.
– Prioritize the emergent topics based on their current level of importance for homeland security as a team by discussing your reasoning for each topic. Prepare a draft combined list for the security issues as a group.
