Analysis: Use the randomly generated data to run your analyses. For most students I recommend Jamovi, which we’ve used in class before. You can use other analysis software like R, SPSS, Stata, or others if you prefer. You will submit your results as a .omv file if in Jamovi or other similar format for other software. If using a format other than Jamovi, please also submit your results in a document format like Word or PDF.
Expectations:
Your instrumentation and analyses should closely replicate the original study without leaving anything out.
Labels and notation aren’t critical at this point, so don’t worry about making your figures or tables “pretty”.
Running analyses on your sample data obviously doesn’t tell us anything about your hypotheses, but it gives you a chance to test out your instrumentation. You may need to update your instrumentation after testing your analyses.
I expect you to be able to replicate the analyses done in the original study, so be mindful of how ambitious you want to be in your learning goals. Designing correlation and ANOVA analyses are pretty simple, but if you decide to replicate a longitudinal hierarchical linear memo SEM, you may not be able to learn that analysis method by this assignment’s due date, or even by the end of the semester. Can you please run the data attached in SPSS or Jamovi following the above instructions? Please make sure that you replicate the original study attached. This is not a writing assignment, it’s more about running the data. Then writing half a page that should be related to the original study look at the table in the original study
