What Will the Proposal Contain?
Your proposal must contain the conventional elements of a proposal as show in :

Proposal Lecture
Some
of the elements you include in your proposal will vary from those that
other students include, but as a minimum, everyone’s proposal must
contain the following:
Statement of Purpose
Executive Summary
Introduction (Which is the Problem and Solution)
Proposed Tasks (Gantt Chart is required)
Itemized Budget Chart
Qualifications and Experience
Conclusion
Reference Page (include citations in the proposal as well)
Memo (included in the final submission and be no less than one, full page)
This is a seperate document at the end of the proposal
Should be organized the same as the memo in Project 1
This should explain the choices you made while completing Project 3
These
sections must contain specific content, figures and tables. These are
outlined in the examples, lectures, and handouts. You can expect this
project to be around 3-4 pages when written correctly. Remember to include a one page memo explaining your decisions (consider audience, ethical considerations, style and design).
Where Do I find Sources?
Sources
are used sparingly through out the proposal to enhance claims, provide
data, or points your reader to locations where they can find additonal
information. A minimum of 3 sources must be used, but these sources cannot make up more than 20% of any one section of the manual. Cite all sources in APA and include citations for both the works cited and in-text citations for each source used.
Who Is the Audience for My Proposal?
You
will pitch your proposal to me. Even though I have produced this call
for proposals (CFP), I still need to know that each group understands
the project and can clearly articulate the key elements for responding
to the CFP.
