This assignment has two parts: part 1 is a critique of a job descriiption submitted by you and part 2 is a rewrite of that job descriiption.
First, pretend you are a member of a Human Resources team. You are reviewing a job descriiption that a Hiring Manager has sent to you. In order to do this, identify a job posting online for a Social Work position or related position. The position may be at your current workplace or one found online. Pretend, this is the job descriiption that was submitted to you for review.
Next, review the job descriiption and identify any issues you see with the job descriiption, including any gendered or other problematic language that you identified in the job descriiption. – Think – How can I make this job descriiption more inclusive? In what ways does this job descriiption unnecessarily exclude candidates?
Write a two-paragraph summary of the issues you see with the job descriiption. Be sure to include specific language that you would remove and explain why you would remove it.
What to submit:
1. Post a link to the job descriiption you selected (or copy and paste the original job descriiption)
2. Post your two-paragraph summary
