The theories presented in chapter 6 pertaining to crime and deviance encapsulate three different views; the bio-social approach, the psychological approach, and the sociological approach. The more investigation and research on crime allows scientists to better deal with crime, as well as write policies and create programs to better resolve and treat the social ailment.
Your assignment for this week is to explain why bio-social theories of crime are not as effective in studying crime as the psychological or sociological theories presented in the chapter. Please demonstrate how predicting behavior based on physical observation or appearance (physical stigmata theory) is altogether an erroneous way to studying crime.

Step 1: First study chapter 6 (crime and social control) and study the bio-social view on crime. Please also include Cesare Lombroso’s physical stigmata theory to complete the bio-social concept.
Step 2: Compare the bio-social approach with the various psychological theories (select only one psychological theory) as well as the sociological theories (select only one sociological theory) and explain the deficiencies or disadvantages of the bio-social approach when determining or predicting criminal behavior.
