Then take at least half a page to write your own obituary, listing statements that reflect your attitude toward death, how you would hope to be remembered, include a picture if you wish, etc. Please feel free to have fun with this! Thought starters for your response: What cultural aspects would you include? What societal pressures would you be sensitive toward? In other words, what role would socialization play? For example, would you “frame” yours to appeal to what you hope others think/will remember about you, or would you write a more “true” or accurate depiction of yourself? Would age factor in? If so, how or why? What religious aspects (rituals, etc.) would you incorporate and why or why not? You may wish to interview a family member or a close friend to see if they can share a good story and/or their thoughts about you and include those in your response.
