Part 1:
In The Church of the Eucharist (Ecclesia de Eucharistia), the conclusion offers an important ethical encouragement. Rather than only waiting for God’s will to be complete at the end of time, it encourages the faithful to take a renewed responsibility for the world today. It explains, “Theirs is the task of contributing with the light of the Gospel to the building of a more human world, a world fully in harmony with God’s plan” (20). How does this sense of responsibility for building a more human world around us connect us back to the readings in the first four modules? How do notions of Trinity, Incarnation, and sacrament point to a need to actively love not only God but all those we encounter? Use your readings and module information to reflect on this call to love, serve, and care for others.
